About Rangakarmee
Rangakarmee is more than just a theatre group — it is a tradition, a culture, and a movement. Founded in January 1976 in Kolkata by the legendary theatre personality Smt. Usha Ganguli, Rangakarmee has been a pioneering force in the Hindi theatre landscape of Kolkata and beyond.
Under Usha Ganguli’s visionary leadership, Rangakarmee set out on a bold mission: to break barriers and reach audiences across linguistic, regional, and cultural divides. With a distinct language and style that transcend spoken words, Rangakarmee uses theatre as a universal medium of expression — connecting with people from all walks of life, across India and the world.
