Anirudh Sarkar is a prominent voice in Indian theatre, known for his extensive work as a director, actor, trainer, and artistic mentor. A devoted disciple of the legendary Smt. Usha Ganguli, Anirudh brings together discipline, creative depth, and a belief in theatre as a tool for social transformation.
As Director of Rangakarmee, one of India’s leading theatre companies based in Kolkata, Anirudh has revitalized its creative path by bridging classical Indian traditions with contemporary social concerns. Under his leadership, Rangakarmee has consistently delivered visually bold and socially resonant performances, while creating space for emerging voices in the theatre community.
